Description

The Fragment collection was expanded in 2022, expressing ideas that had not been realized before. The new collection was inspired by I.M. Pei’s Louvre Pyramid, which was heavily criticized by Parisian society for being too avant-garde and out of place in the classic Louvre. This seems to resonate with the Fragment collection, which seeks to find a balance between the avant-garde and the classical.

In the initial Fragment works, the light effects were primarily presented in the form of elongated cones. However, during testing, another path was discovered: the flat pyramid shape was found to be highly compatible with the similarly flat light source panel. This design results in a unique cross-shaped light effect created by the unfixed four-sided glass.

Integrated with mirror-polished stainless steel and reflective coating, further modes of refraction were derived, overlaying light effects at two different levels. The light travels through the texture, sometimes refracting, sometimes penetrating, extending infinitely within the limited space.
