Description

The VL38 floor lamp is based on the original design of the VL38 table lamp. The VL38 table lamp was originally designed in collaboration in the late 1930s for the construction of the Radiohuset building in Copenhagen (now the Royal Danish Academy of Music). The lamp design VL38 and the chandelier VL45 were both created for Radiohuset and began appearing in catalogs in the mid-1940s after World War II. The white/brass version of the VL38 was reintroduced in the fall of 2016. To accommodate contemporary advancements in lighting technology and energy efficiency, the fixture is equipped with LED. The black version of the VL38, launched in the fall of 2017, features a stronger profile compared to the original white version while retaining the beloved retro look and the soft curve expression of the original design.
